Our New Site - Finding things

Lost?

There is a link to the site map at the bottom of every page.

Take a look there and maybe what you seek will be listed. If not, send email to our webmaster with your inquiry. Or fill out the feedback form on the Enthusiasts page.

If you use an old bookmark for a page that no longer exists or has been renamed, the server won't be able to find the page and will generate an error. This error will run a script that tells you what the error is and the whole thing is presented to you within the site map page, so you can look for the new page which has the info you desire.

When you find the page, please update your bookmarks.

Privacy - Things to know

There are forms on this site and if you fill one out you will see that we will ask for at least your email address. Depending on which form you are using (say, picture upload) we may ask for more information, such as your name, where and when you took it, etc. If you buy something, we'll ask you for your address too. We ask you these things because we want to know who we are talking to. If you send us a picture and we use it, we want to give you credit. And we want to know where & when you took that picture. For shopping, we can't send you anything without some basic information.

We will not knowingly give away or sell your information. We will not bombard you with junk mail - real or digital. However, if we mention you on the site and that mention includes your name and /or your email address, other people will see that information. And we have no control over what they do with it. There are programs, called "bots," which do nothing but gather email addresses off of web pages. Then you end up on a zillion lists.

So, if you are worried about other people seeing your info, tell us so. We need your real info but we don't have to tell it to others. You can ask us to list you under some other name - Sir or Lady So & So - if we mention you on the site.

As for email, please don't make one up when corresponding with us. What if we have a question about your picture or your order? We must have a valid way to get in touch with you.

Instead, get a free email account somewhere like www.hotmail.com and ask us to use it anytime we mention you on the site. For example, we could use that address to give you credit for your pictures. You want to give other people some way of contacting you, especially in the case of your pictures. Maybe someone will want to ask permission to use them elsewhere or license them or something.

Speaking of Pictures ... (yours)

We have HAD two image upload systems here: the Gallery and regular ftp. (See "photos" section and "enhusiasts" sections for more info.) Through these you used to be able to send us pictures you took of our shows. We still intend to make most of them we have received - not all - available here for others to see, one day. We do intend to re-implement image upload, one day. Until then? We are not accepting images for the web site. If you need to send us images for some reason, please write and we'll discuss how best to get them to us. Please do not email images without notice. Our mailboxes cannot take it. Also, we simply don't have the space or the time to use every single one we have received or expect to receive. So please, when we do implement a means to accept your images again, be discriminating in your choices.

In the event that we DO one day implement a new gallery or other means to accept your images... please know that work must be done, by you, on what you send us before you send it. I am sorry to say that we do not have the time to do your image editing for you.

For instance, we will not accept huge un-edited images from mega-pixel digital cameras. Maybe you can upload it but it will be deleted. The gallery software we might install will let us reject outright images over a certain size. So please get in the habit of resizing your images to something manageable first. (400x400 is plenty big enough!) Send a small thumbnail as well (100x100.) Send only jpg or gif images. Others will be deleted. Since your pictures will be going online they do not need to be and should not be billboard size.

We will give you credit for your pictures, if at all possible. We will assume that if you send us one or give us one in person that you are giving us permission to display it on this website. We won't use it in any other way without contacting you for permission. Make sure we have your name, email, & other relevant info.

We will assume that anyone sending or giving us a picture to display, without remuneration, is the rightful copyright owner. We will further assume that anyone giving us a picture to display has the authority to do so, if they are not the rightful copyright owner themselves. Please don't send us stuff that is not yours.

It is impossible to fully protect your images on the web. If you are concerned that someone might see and take an image of yours, then don't send it to us. We cannot and will not be responsible for any images we receive.

Why do we want your pictures - some day? Because you may have gotten some great shots that you'd like to share with other fans. And we'd like to see them too (once all is working again).
